Is Italian acrylic actually as elegant as crystal?

Optical-grade acrylic — what we use — has refractive properties close to leaded crystal. At a dinner party, your guests won't notice the difference. The visible distinction shows up only on close inspection.

Can I put these in the dishwasher?

Yes, top rack only. Avoid abrasive scrubbers. Italian acrylic is BPA-free and food-safe. Don't use for hot drinks (warps over 70°C / 160°F) and don't put on a hot grill or near direct flame.

Will the acrylic scratch?

Optical-grade acrylic is more scratch-resistant than standard acrylic, but normal use over years can build microscratches. Hand-wash with a soft sponge for the longest life.

Are these dishwasher-safe forever?

The flutes survive thousands of normal dishwasher cycles. The clarity is the part that ages — over many years and many washes, the surface can pick up faint cloudiness. We've had customers replace sets after 8-10 years of weekly use.
