Italian Wine Glasses & Champagne Flutes — Designed in Milan
Italian wine glasses and champagne flutes designed in Milan. Conceived by Baci Milano with the heritage of Italian glassmaking and the practicality modern entertaining demands — shatterproof acrylic that performs like fine crystal, in a palette and silhouette built for the table, the terrace, and the pool deck.
Why Italian wine glasses sit in a category of their own
Italy invented modern stemware. The Venetians refined cristallo more than five hundred years ago, and that lineage still shapes how the world expects a wine glass to look — clear bowl, slim stem, balance in the hand. Baci Milano carries that aesthetic into the 21st century with one practical update: the entire range is rendered in food-safe acrylic, so the silhouette of an Italian wine glass finally goes everywhere a wine glass should — outside, by the water, into the suitcase, onto the long table for sixteen.
You don't lose the look. The Baroque & Rock and Cheers stemware is moulded in Italy with optical-grade clarity, weighted at the base for table presence, and stem-and-bowl proportioned the way Murano taught us. What you gain is a glass that survives a dishwasher cycle, a tipped tray, a child's grip, and a season on the patio.
The four ranges, and what each is for
Baroque & Rock — The signature collection. Generous bowls, decorative crystalline stems, the fullest range (clear, mixed-color sets, anniversary editions). The default choice for a dinner party where the table is doing the talking.
Cheers — Cleaner lines, taller stems, more contemporary. Pairs with minimalist linen, modern tableware, and the kind of table where the food is the centerpiece.
Crystal Touch — The closest visual match to traditional cut crystal. Optical clarity at its highest in the range. The pick when you want guests to look twice.
Aqua — Saturated color (orange, magenta, green, taupe). For poolside, summer tables, and homes where color is part of the design vocabulary.
Sizes and how to use them
- Wine glasses (set of 6) — ~12oz capacity, balanced for both red and white. The everyday Italian table glass.
- Champagne flutes (set of 6) — narrow tulip bowl, slim stem. For prosecco, champagne, and aperitivo cocktails.
- Mixed-color sets — six glasses, six different jewel tones. The conversation piece, and a frequent gift choice.
When Italian wine glasses are the right call
Outdoor and poolside — shatterproof acrylic means no exclusion zone. These work where real crystal cannot.
Wedding & engagement gifting — the mixed-color flute set is one of the most-gifted SKUs in the range. Italian-designed, ships boxed, registry-friendly.
Yacht, beach house, lake house — stemware that travels and lives in salt air without breaking down.
Restaurants and venues — commercial dishwasher-safe, drops survive, replacement cost is a fraction of crystal.
Everyday Italian dinners at home — for households where wine is part of the meal but breakage is part of life. Children, dogs, weeknight pace.
Care and longevity
All Italian wine glasses and flutes in this collection are top-rack dishwasher safe and BPA-free. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight at high temperatures (above ~150°F / 65°C). Hand-washing extends the optical life of the bowl on the Crystal Touch and clear Baroque & Rock pieces. Stack vertically, stem down, when storing.
FAQ
Are these glasses actually made in Italy?
The Baci Milano range is designed in Milan and produced under Italian design direction. We describe the line as Italian-designed and Milanese-conceived rather than claim every piece is moulded in Italy — we keep that line clear.
Do they look like real glass?
From two feet away, yes. The Crystal Touch range is the closest match to traditional cut crystal. The Baroque & Rock decorative stems are recognizably Italian and intentionally not trying to imitate plain stemware.
What's the difference between a wine glass and a flute here?
Wine glasses have a wider, rounder bowl (~12oz) for still wine. Flutes have a tall, narrow tulip bowl optimized for sparkling wine — the shape preserves bubbles longer and concentrates aromatics at the rim.
Are they safe for kids and outdoor use?
Yes — that's the point. Acrylic. They will not shatter on stone, tile, or pool decks. Top-rack dishwasher safe. BPA-free.
Can I mix them with my crystal at the same table?
Absolutely. Many customers use the Crystal Touch range as a daily-driver complement to a heritage crystal set kept for formal use. The proportions are designed to read at the same scale.
How many should I order for a dinner party?
Plan one wine glass and one flute per guest, plus a 10–15% replacement margin. For 12 guests we recommend 2 sets of 6 wine glasses and 2 sets of 6 flutes.
What's the best gift configuration?
The mixed-color anniversary flute set is our top wedding-gift SKU. For housewarming, the Crystal Touch wine + flute combination is the popular choice.
Do they ship internationally?
The U.S. site ships within the United States. Free U.S. shipping on orders $99+.
