Materials and care
Most boards in this collection are service-grade Italian melamine: lightweight, dishwasher-safe top rack, food-safe for everything except hot foods over 70°C / 160°F. A subset are acrylic-and-bamboo composite trays from the Sagrada Familia line — those are hand-wash only with a damp cloth. None are wood and none require oiling. Hand-decoration is sealed under a food-safe finish and survives normal dishwasher cycles indefinitely.
How to style an Italian charcuterie board
Anchor with two soft cheeses (a brie or burrata) and one hard cheese (parmigiano or pecorino). Add salumi — prosciutto, salami, mortadella — folded loosely, never flat. Fill the negative space with seasonal fruit (figs and grapes for fall, strawberries and apricots for spring), Marcona almonds or candied walnuts, a small ramekin of honey or fig jam, and bread — focaccia squares, grissini, or fresh baguette. Yes. The hand-decorated surface is sealed under a food-safe finish meeting US FDA standards. They’re safe for cheese, fruit, charcuterie, bread, antipasti, and dessert.
Can I put them in the dishwasher?
The melamine boards are dishwasher-safe top rack. The acrylic-and-bamboo Sagrada Familia trays are hand-wash only with a damp cloth.
Will the hand-decoration fade or chip?
The decoration is sealed under the finish. Normal dishwasher use does not fade it. Avoid abrasive scrubbers and steel wool — soft sponges only.
